GENERAL NOTES

This variable usually follows a country specific coding classification. Therefore, it is not harmonized across countries, and in some datasets across years.
This variable covers those holding either a below secondary or a secondary certificate or higher. This is country specific information that is always indicated in the variable universe column.
COUNTRY SPECIFIC NOTES

The original variable indicating the certificate specialization (EDU_TRMEZ_CODE) was classified by different codebook (ISCED-2017 instead of ISCED-2012).
In order to remain consistent with previous years, it was recoded to ISCED-2012 by ERF.
The original variable indicating the certificate specialization (EDU_TRMEZ_CODE) is not reported for those who are holding academic secondary. Thus, the generated variable for those cases is recoded "3010000000" according to ISCED-2012.
